В качестве активных элементов усилителя использованы кристаллы Nd:YAG, накачиваемые по поперечной схеме блоками лазерных диодов. Показано, что удаление линз-компенсаторов позволяет уменьшить общие оптические потери усилителя и повысить степень его компактности. При сравнимых уровнях выходной мощности оптические потери оптического усилителя с пятью каскадами усиления и коррекцией характеристик усиливаемого пучка термонаведенными линзами активных элементов на 16 %, а его линейные размеры на 13 % меньше аналогичных показателей для пятикаскадной усилительной системы с четырьмя двухлинзовыми компенсаторами между каскадами усиления.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Characteristics of the Nd:YAG multistage optical amplifier of laser beam, the spatial parameters of which are corrected by the thermal lenses formed in the active elements of each amplifier cascade, have been studied. The crystals Nd:YAG pumped by the laser diode units in accordance with the transversal scheme have been used as the amplifier active elements. It has been shown that the removal of lensecompensators allows one to reduce total optical losses of the amplifier and enhance its compactness.
